What we collect

Quote requests. When you ask for a free quote — through this website, by phone or email, or through an advertising form such as a Facebook or Instagram instant form — we collect your name, phone number, email address, the area you are in, and what you tell us about the job.

Photos and video you send us. You can attach photos, or a short clip, of the areas you want painted or cleaned. These are pictures of your property, so we treat them as personal information.

What you type to our assistant. The chat on this site is an AI assistant. Whatever you write in it, and any photos you send through it, come to us the same as an email would.

Project records. Once you book with us, we keep the contact details and job records we need to schedule and finish the work, and to honour the warranty.

We do not collect payment card details through this website or through our advertising forms.

How we use it

To answer your enquiry and send you a written estimate.

To schedule the work, carry it out, and follow up afterwards.

To contact you about your quote or your job.

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. We share it only where it is needed to do the work — for example with the crew lead scheduling your appointment — or where the law requires it.

The AI assistant, and your photos

To give you a fast, useful answer, the quote form and the chat assistant are powered by an AI service provided by Anthropic. In practice that means:

What you type, and any photos or video stills you send, are sent to Anthropic so the assistant can read them and write up your enquiry for us.

Your photos are stored in our own database so we can look at them when pricing the job, and so you can see them again on your quote page.

The assistant is not a person. It cannot give you a price, and nothing it says is a quote — every price comes from us after we have looked at the job ourselves.

If you would rather not use it, you do not have to. Ring us on (778) 932-1975 and we will take your details the old-fashioned way.

Your quote number, and what your device remembers

When you send an enquiry we give you a quote number, so you can check where it is up to at leopainting.ca/my-quote. Your browser keeps that number, and the last part of any chat, on your own device so you do not have to type it in again. That stays on your device, is never sent anywhere, and you can clear it yourself with the "Forget these on this device" link on that page. Anyone who has your quote number can see that enquiry, so treat it as you would a receipt.

Who else handles it

We keep the list short, and none of them use your information for their own marketing:

Cloudflare — hosts this website and stores enquiries and photos for us.

Anthropic — the AI service described above.

Our email provider — delivers your enquiry to our inbox.

Meta — only if you reached us through a Facebook or Instagram form, in which case their own privacy terms also apply to that form.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries long enough to honour our 24-hour estimate promise, to do the work, and to stand behind our 2-year workmanship warranty. After that we remove them. If you ask us to delete your information sooner we will, unless we are required to keep it for legal or warranty reasons.

Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA and BC's Personal Information Protection Act) you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted — including any photos you sent us.
